Importing Logo Graphics into your PCBIn Altium Designer 2004 SP4 PCB there is no direct method of importing graphics files such as BMP or WMF files for use as a logo, for example.

It is possible to import DXF and DWG files so if you can convert your BMP to one of these formats it should import but bare in mind that Protel can only create images with the primitives that it has available such as tracks and arcs.

However, there are a number of methods to import a BMP or WMF file into a Protel PCB.

Altium have generated a script file which will allow you to import a Mono BMP onto your PCB which can be found here http://www.altium.com/forms/kb/kb_item.asp?ID=4726

There are also a couple of Third Party tools.

One has been created by a company called Desktop EDA which integrates fully integrates into Altium Designer called Klipper which supports BMP (including coloured), and WMF/EMF formats which can be found here www.desktop-eda.com.au.

Another is freely available from a UK Protel user forum http://www.proteluser.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7

Originally created for Protel 99 SE but the created PCB can be imported to Altium Designer.  This utility suppose Mono BMP's. (we cannot provide support for this utility)
