Design Manager View has been added to Schematic in P-CAD 2006 SP1. As with P-CAD PCB the Design Manager View in Schematic now allows you to easily select, sort, and modify your design’s components, nets and their sub-objects. The three level panes are divided into (Nets Classes, Nets, and Nodes) for nets, and (Sheets, Parts, and Pins) for components.

You can check out the shortcut commands for DM in Options >> Preferences >> Keyboard Tab >> Shortcut commands radio button. There are some shortcut commands that you can customize at the bottom of the shortcut command list. They are:

  1. Enable Design Manager Components - This behaves as if you click the "Nets" button in DM.
  2. Enable Design Manager Nets - This behaves as if you click the "Components" button in DM.
  3. Toggle Design Manager Zoom - This behaves as if you toggle the "Zoom" button in DM.
  4. Toggle Design Manager Filter - This behaves as if you toggle the "Filter" button in DM.
  5. Toggle Design Manager Quick Select - This behaves as if you toggle the "Quick Select" button in DM.
  6. Toggle between workspace and Design Manager - The will toggle the focus between the Workspace view (the display of the design entity) and the Design Manager. If you toggle the focus to the workspace, the mouse will move to the centre of the workspace. If you toggle the focus to the Design Manager, the mouse will move to list control in the Design Manager view that has the last focus.

Default Settings: Ctrl+T is assigned to Toggle between workspace and Design Manager (number 6 above). That is the only shortcut command that has default shortcut key.

Also, if the mouse enters (from the Design Manager) the workspace, we shift the focus to the workspace. This is one of the enhancements that we added in P-CAD 2006.

This all applies to Design Manager in PCB and Schematic.
