Output Generation |
Designing an electronic product is a complex process, one that requires a multitude of output files to be generated. To manage these outputs, Altium Designer includes a specialized output job document, referred to as an OutJob. Once an OutJob has been added to the PCB project, any number of outputs can be configured, and are there ready for use whenever the PCB project is opened.
This means that you can return to the design at any time and regenerate the output files without having to reset options. You can also work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining independent output configurations and file sets for each project.
Because output jobs are stored as part of a design they are completely transferable between designs, allowing you to easily create output generation templates that can be imported into any design. A new output job file includes a number of predefined setups that allow you to easily create drill drawings, composite and final printouts, assembly drawings, power plane sets, mask sets, composite drill guides, fabrication outputs, and others.
