Schematic component linking to a company database has been greatly enhanced with support for any ODBC-compliant data source. Database links are live, meaning that at anytime you can perform an update and refresh the data in each component from the linked database.
A single key lookup can be defined, or for more sophisticated searching, you can write your own database WHERE clause to search across multiple key fields. This is all backed up by a flexible reporting engine for full bill of materials generation. The components can be linked to the database from the schematic project after they are placed, or they can be linked in the schematic libraries.
